Providing Meaningful Employment

This program provides meaningful employment opportunities for neurodivergent individuals who may experience intellectual or developmental challenges. It empowers them to build skills, gain confidence, and prepare for future work in outdoor and nature-based settings.

On-the-Job Learning

Apprentices will develop professional habits they can carry into future careers, and grow specialized skills in conservation and groundskeeping. 

Apprenticeship Program Info

Apprenticeship Details

  • Days and Dates: Flexible work scheduling based on apprentice ability and availability. Runs from April 15, 2026 – October 15, 2026 (start and end dates can be flexible)

  • ​Compensation: $12.50/hour

  • ​Hours: 4-20 hours/week (TBD based on apprentice's ability and availability)​​​​​

​

Eligibility
  • Must be 18 years old or older

  • Must have a a documented traumatic brain injury, intellectual/developmental disability (including, but not limited to, Autism spectrum disorder, Cerebral palsy, or Down syndrome)

  • Can complete personal care with supervision

  • Can take medication with supervision
