Annual Benefit Concert
When your founder is a 50+ year musical talent with a passion for bringing people together—and he wants to host a benefit concert with his longtime friend, Robin Pluer, you say yes!
Freddy Bliffert, founder of the Blue Lotus Center and one-time frontman of Freddy and the Blifftones, has always had a gift for uniting people through music. From the early days of lively barn parties to laid-back tunes on the lagoon, Fred’s love of performing has created spaces where connection and joy take center stage.
What started as those heartfelt, grassroots gatherings have grown into something truly special—an electrifying, full-scale musical experience that brings our community together year after year. Today, our Annual Benefit Concert is more than just an event, it’s a celebration of music, connection, and the spirit that defines the Blue Lotus Center.

Annual Golf Tournament
When Co-Founder Susan Bliffert, her brother and longtime board member of David Lemke, and his wife Kathie Lemke, both avid golfers, came together with an idea 20 years ago, they envisioned something special: a golf tournament at their favorite course to support the mission of the Blue Lotus Center. And they were right.
What began as a simple fundraising idea has grown into one of our most anticipated and successful annual events. Today, the tournament consistently sells out, drawing enthusiastic golfers and supporters alike.
Participants enjoy an unforgettable day on one of the area’s most prestigious private courses, Hidden Glen Golf Club, all while supporting a cause that continues to make a meaningful impact
on our community.

Annual Fall Match Fundraiser
Each year, our Fall Match Fundraiser brings our community together for ten powerful days of giving. During this time, every dollar raised is dedicated to a specific, mission-driven need at the Blue Lotus Center creating tangible, lasting impact.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, we’ve been able to bring transformative projects to life. From restoring and maintaining a healthy lake ecosystem, to building a fully accessible trail that welcomes guests of all abilities, to launching our neurodiversity apprenticeship program, providing meaningful employment and lifelong skills for individuals with disabilities, each initiative reflects our commitment to people and the planet.
